Bring Back My Bar!

For a limited time, Scentsy decided to bring back 20 previously discontinued scents as part of their Bring Back My Bar promo. These 20 scents are available in bar form only and only during the month of July, which means there is only ONE week left to purchase these. 15 of the returning scents were voted for by Scentsy customers and Scentsy consultants and the other 5 were chosen by the company's president and CEO.

Let me tell you something, you NEED to hurry and buy some of these bars!! I just received some yesterday and the ones I ordered are AH-mazing! Seriously...I could eat them. I ordered Apples & Pears, Banana Nut Bread, Cappuccino, Cheerful Day, Eggnog, Newborn Nursery, Pumpkin Pie, Strawberry Sweetie, and Watermelon Patch. I wasn't a huge fan of the Cheerful Day or Newborn Nursery (smells like baby powder if you like that sort of thing!), but everything else smelled REALLY good! I'm definitely going to stock up on some more before the week is up....I'm thinking Sizzlin' Coconut, Fried Ice Cream, and French Vanilla. Can you tell I like food?

I highly recommend ordering some only because they may not ever come back...and if they do, it'll probably be in the form of another promotion a year from now. I definitely don't want to wait that long for more of these scents!

My first month as an Independent Scentsy Consultant

So, as most of you know, I'm now an Independent Scentsy Consultant!

It all started when my husband told me I needed to get a part time job in the evening. The thought of being a stay-at-home mom during the day (a taxing job in itself!) and then going to work 6-11 in the evening and on the weekends horrified me. I can barely stay awake during the day as it is! The search for a part time job continues; however, I doubt much will come of that since I'm sure there aren't many Walmart's, Starbucks, etc. that want to hire a 30 year old school psychologist with a specialist degree who is still "officially" employed by the school district. Yeh...right.

So, anyway, that led me to Scentsy. I first discovered Scentsy wickless candles at the Home & Patio Show. My husband has a booth at the show and I know he hates it when I wander off to explore. It always means its going to cost him money. This time was no different! During my exploration I discovered Scentsy, and it was love at first smell. Soon after a friend of mine became a consultant and I was pretty darn excited because then I could buy my scents from her and feel like I was helping a friend. When I realized that I needed to make some extra money (without returning to work full time) I thought of Scentsy. How hard could it be? Its an AWESOME product, I get to go to parties and socialize, and my baby can usually accompany me. So I talked to my husband, I talked to my friend (who is now my sponsor!), and a week later I became a consultant!
